Coming Soon… I am creating a new section in the blog “F#cking Dating”. It is about my dating foibles and sexual stories. I may cross reference between my story “Broken” and here. But I will not mention timelines those will exist in the story. These are just one-off fun reads.

You can guess who is who if you would like but the point is to share a mid-life male perspective on dating. But it’s been an interesting year+, to say the least, and one I think is “fun” to share. I hope you will enjoy, and expect posts real soon. Some may have already been written. ๐ Is it a little pretentious to announce a category with my mere 40 followers?… Yup! But I am doing it anyways.

Hi, Iโm Matt. Just your average uneventful guy. Dedicated Dad, emapth, and nurturer. Going through something I couldnโt possible ever thought possible.
My story is called Broken. About an affair at the end of a long marriage and how ultimately I experienced the worst heartbreak of my life. It's honest, raw, and a little bit entertaining. I hope to share my story so people can learn while being therapeutic for myself.

Not pretentious at all, I only have 66 followers on here, but I announced my change in direction from journals to fiction and managed to keep all my followers too. Question, are you linking your posts to twitter? If not, you should think about it, it will pull in more readers and WP tags them as your followers too. I have 432 followers on twitter and 66 on Word Press. Facebook refused to allow me to post links, said the content was too adult in nature for their ‘family based’ site.
Twitter will monitor your content but are more lenient and will just make you use a warning to say your content is adult in nature. It won’t show the story, just the title but it’s a link back to here so you still get the readers. Your story needs to be out there, a lot of people could learn some serious life lessons from the story you’re telling right now. xx

I will give that a shot. I was wondering how to get a broader audience. While I am pretty satisfied with what I have now and this is therapeutic if it’s as big as it gets. But if I can help people I would love to.

Create a twitter account for Broken and the links are in the publishing section of the blog. Its just a tick box exercise ๐ x Like I said, the majority of my followers are twitter based. For some reason, I can’t build them up on here at all. In honesty, I haven’t really tried too hard. ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐

I’m not having luck with twitter but honestly, different crowd over there. They don’t have a long attention span mostly. ๐

Oh ignore the numbers of followers – I don’t know why but most of my followers seem to be fake accounts or something. I click on their sites and it is all weird stuff.
It is more interesting to see who is actually reading, and even better commenting on your posts – that is a sign of human life!

If you want people to read your stories search your own tags and read the blogs that came up. Like and comment.
But… it’s not necessary. As you say, it’s therapeutic for you to write your journey. And a smaller group is more intimate, feels more like friendship. ๐
